Microsoft hasn’t explained why it’s changed Copilot from a more integrated experience in Windows to just a web app that can no longer control Windows settings.
So like, were the editors just asleep for the past month or what?
No, they’re shills. This is classic PR damage control.

Can we just HOSTS the url, then?
It’s probably just a version of the “Office key” that would simulate pressing like 5 modifiers (that’s where the Ctrl+Alt+Win+…+L opening LinkedIn comes from), but includes a final key. Windows might make it a pain to do, but on other OS’s you could bind that key to whatever you want.
