Tesla claim to be the safest car, yet they let this slip.
Made a comment in jest/maybe bad taste like a week ago in the tesla community to the effect of "would be very on-brand for Tesla to have issues with the seatbelts. Response is important (probably most important really) but in your post you said your earlier comment was “would be very on-brand for Tesla to have issues with the seatbelts.”
My point was, that everyone has these kinds of issues. Honda recalled 450k vehicles for seatbelt issues. Volvo had another one with mistorqued bolts that might result in the middle seatbelt in the back to come off completely. (Not known if it actually happened)
Not sure how many other brands I have heard of where the steering wheel falls off though 😁
The difference you’re ignoring is Tesla has a long and well documented history of low quality products and papering over recalls or not issuing them in a timely manner.
Other brands tend to find their own recalls, even, when sampling production units. Strange how Tesla never does, right?
