TriMet MAX lines Green, Orange and Yellow have been disrupted Saturday due to overhead wire issues, TriMet said.

For those unaware… excessive heat makes the power lines for the MAX expand, which causes slack on the lines, which means trains can’t go as fast and there are often power outages.

Make sure you give yourself extra time if you travel by MAX in extreme temperatures.

There are other problems with freezing temps too, ice on the wires and malfunctioning switches. So beware then too!
