Help me God, what can I do?’ We are a nation whose once revered airports are a dirty, crowded mess,” Trump continued, pivoting suddenly.
“You sit and wait for hours and then are notified that the plane won’t leave, that they have no idea when they will. Where ticket prices have tripled. They don’t have the pilots to fly the planes, they don’t seek qualified air traffic controllers, and they just don’t know what the hell they are doing.”
“We will take over the horribly run capital of our nation in Washington, D.C., and clean it up, renovate it, and rebuild our capital city, so that it is no longer a nightmare of murder and crime. But rather it will become the most beautiful capital anywhere in the world,” Trump said.
“Right now, if you leave Florida, ‘Oh, let’s go, darling, let’s look at the Jefferson Memorial, let’s look at the Washington Monument, let’s go and look at some of the beautiful scenes,’ and you end up getting shot, mugged, raped,” he warned, promising that he’d run the city “tough and smart.”

I can see what people are trying to do, but it doesn’t work. The right wing talking points about the less-right wing don’t work when flipped, because his followers don’t care. They lap it up.
They’re tootling around in mobility scooters covered with Trump flags and stickers. Their homes have been shrines to him since 2016. He could physically shit himself on stage and these people would still vote for him, no questions asked. Trump makes them feel good about their hatred they’ve been told is wrong for the last few decades. Their MAGA is an all-white suburb as far as the eye can see.
The only thing that will stop them is his death. A large chunk of the movement will die with him. Those followers don’t really seem to care for the republican party. That’s the only upside.
Fascism has the whole propaganda thing nailed down. It’s just too hard to get people excited about a mediocre amount of progressivism. The Nazis got this and have been the model for it ever since.
I honestly don’t know what the solution is.
The solution would be to beat them at their own game. Build a radical left propaganda machine - like Star Trek or Doctor Who on steroids.
