In the short term, when a truck flying a MAGA flag drives into the local gay community looking for fun I’d like there to be an armed support network for that community since we already know the police response will be slow. Longer term, if infrastructure collapses (or is intentionally neglected) expect to see migrations into rural areas in search of food and other resources. It’s hard to hunt (and defend yourself against fundamentalists with guns) without guns.

We already see trump trying to use that card against Mexico (and brown people) by wanting to list illegal immigrants as enemy combatants and cartels (which ARE fucking evil) as terrorist groups so that he can justify attacks on Mexican soil.
So what will that “armed support network” for trans people or black people do? it will result in trans folk being treated as terrorist groups. The same way that mosques were targeted in the wake of 9-11 and black people are STILL getting targeted under the guise of “gang violence”.
The reality is that there is no easy answer. And rather than pretend there is one (when in reality it is just a person who loves the 2nd amendment above all…), we need to actually think about what can be done to ACTUALLY make a difference.
