That dsa dating event has been discourse for like days now but people pointed out that the venue, SILO, takes its inspiration from “tel Aviv party culture” and that maybe dsa should not promote a club like that got twisted by other dsa members into saying “are you just saying not to go because it’s Jewish owned??” Is just… yes it actually is sketchy that they’re “taking inspiration from israeli rave culture”, its essentially another way israel exerts soft power through cultural influence. And the fact that an active member pointed this out and got blocked by dsa NYC… comical. It doesn’t matter if they “held palestine fundraising there” because they’re contributing to the circumstances that palestine needs fundraising for.
