Yeah! He’s not a main character in it, iirc, but you get an idea of why the valar favor him. He’s got a bit in the ROTK appendices where he has a battle with the witch king too.

We believe that the Anarchists are real enemies of Marxism. Accordingly, we also hold that a real struggle must be waged against real enemies

I quite enjoyed the Silmarillion when I read it, but I’m not sure I’ll have the stick-to-it-ive-ness to reread it anytime soon. I like the story of Beren and Luthien, and Glorifindel’s fight with the balrog. Lots of really cool stories in there.
The Rings of Power is based on the lore in the appendices of Return of The King - broadly the same story, but their interpretation is almost like an alt history compared to this. I enjoyed the first season ok (if I disagreed with some of the writing), but I haven’t felt compelled to look into the second season yet.
To be anti-zionist would be to deny that the state of Isra*l should exist, right? I genuinely do not think there are any anti-zionists in office in the U$.
This really resonates with me. Thanks for sharing!
I’m sorry, homie, that shit is fucking awful.
Wonderful! I think pre reading the last chapter is a good idea. Glad it seems helpful!
In light of this, you’re probably right. I’m not familiar with leftypol at all, basically, other than the reddit sub named after it was gross.
Just saw the edits, glad you were able to find it!
I don’t think it’s worth overthinking - you’ll spend more time worrying about how to read it that you could spend reading it.
Settlers reads to me like a history, with some editorializing sprinkled in. Critics almost solely focus on the editorializing.
My read is that settlers, as a group, have interests that oppose the freedom of colonized peoples in the U$. They have, as a group, historically opposed freedom for their “fellow” colonized workers. You’re welcome to your own interpretation.
I’m happy with any new user as long as they read Settlers, and affirm their support for our trans comrades. Anyone who can’t can face the fucking wall as far as I’m concerned.
If a plan for “evacuation” had any chance of success, you wouldn’t need to post from a fresh account.
Stick to Your Guns is metalcore from an ML.
Stray from the Path is hardcore with a heavy left/anarchist bent.
They would immediately defed lemmygrad and hexbear, so it would not make a difference.
That’s basically my understanding, yeah. I just don’t think there’ll ever be a possiblity for peace or people to return home if NATO is deeply involved.
Interesting. It would be really nice to see Azerbaijan outside of the NATO/Turkey/Isr*el orbit. Hopefully this bodes well for their relationship with Armenia, and gives a pathway to resolving the situation in Artsakh.
The Heart of Saturday Night is like a more palatable gravely lounge singer.
I didn’t know it was quite that bad. It just seemed like a nice place, and it’s much easier to be a foreigner in a place you (mostly) know the language in.
The people brought pythons too
I don’t think I understand what you’re going for, but it seems like you mean it as a joke. Can you clarify what you mean?
It’s very hard to get permanent residency outside of your home country unless you’re very skilled, rich, or have relevant ancestry. Were any of your grandparents direct immigrants from another country? You may be able to work that for citizenship, if so. Croatia and Italy go back further, iirc.
*Edit I’d want China or Ireland, personally, but neither may ever be possible for me
Idk if I understand. Is this an absurdist response to the absurdity of the situation in the U$?
