They are doing the bare minimum though - they’re making money, the people who do want this are paying for it. People who want to play those games in another way already emulate them, people who want online chat play on another device. We are not the target market for this service.

You can always buy the 8A, or any of the older still-supported models. Buying a phone has become like buying a car, you can buy them new but you’re really paying a premium for a privilege that doesn’t matter that much in the long run.

My observations make me think that there are just a relatively high number of indie horror games compared to other genres of indies. I reckon it’s because they’re probably easier to make - you can focus on just building a world and putting in a few scary things rather than worrying about gameplay and complex mechanics if you’re not interested in spending your time designing and developing those things. Also I imagine there’s an audience for people who like horror who otherwise don’t care that much about video games.

Yep, suddenly as an adult I have more games than I have time in which to play them. I can’t have more than one “big” game on the go at once because if I get out of the zone then I’ll forget what’s going on, lose the motivation, and have to start again!

Who is defining these achievements? Presumably it’s a community thing, but which communities and who has final say?

Yeah I skipped ones which had already been posted, but the are a couple like Larger Than Light and Sprout Valley which look pretty good

I started using GitHub before Microsoft bought it, what should I be using instead? GitLab? Codeberg? Something else?
