solo@slrpnk.netto Enshittification@slrpnk.net•Enshitification is /our/ fault, not the enshitifiers5·2 days agoSure, we can blame capitalism, which is a useless activity. In fact, it’s a harmful stance because blaming capitalism artificially puts solutions out of reach.
What are the arguments to back these 2 sentences?

inadvertently popularized the term ‘alpha male.’ Now, he’s debunking common stereotypes to explain what an ‘alpha male’ really is – empathetic and protective.
I’ve only seen the following 2 videos. I can’t say I was super-thrilled, but I understood how the alpha male narrative jumped in a distorted way from chimps to humans.

There it looks like they ackgnowledge other parameters, but their main focus in this one is around depopulation in Japan.
Biodiversity change under human depopulation in Japan
Irrespective of human population increase or decrease, biodiversity losses continue among most species studied mainly because of change in agricultural land use, either due to urbanization, disuse and abandonment, or intensification.
solo@slrpnk.netOPtoAncient History@slrpnk.net•Prehistoric people transported 2-tonne stone by boatEnglish2·9 days agoThere’s a link in the post that will help you access the full article.
Concerning your question, I think the answer would be in the following segment:
“The Matarrubilla stone basin is a good piece of indirect evidence, which, in our opinion, proves that these people had advanced raft, canoe or sailing-boat technology.”
For details, here is the paper.

In 1968 Hebrew University of Jerusalem illegally acquired a significant portion of the land on which its Mount Scopus campus and dormitories are built.
This land is part of East Jerusalem, which is under illegal occupation according to international law. Hebrew University also hosts the Israeli military’s Havatzalot program, effectively a military base on campus that includes combat training.
Good luck with this. Keep us posted

solo@slrpnk.netOPto World News@lemmy.world•Statement on the situation in Iran | IAEAEnglish22·28 days agoThank you for your input. Even tho I find this to be totally faisable, from what the cradle article provides, I cannot verify much:
- fars looks like it’s an Iranian outlet I personnaly don’t know if I can trust or not, regardless of mbfc
- the informed sources are not named
- I didn’t manage to find the documents mentionned*
Apart from that at some point it mentions that Grossi said in Times of Israel that “We have seen some reports in the press. We haven’t had any official communication about this.”, but it is about Iran stealing Israeli documents.
Anyways, if you or anyone has more on this, please share.
