Donald Trump is proving heā€™s racist and stupid with his latest post.

In a Truth Social post Thursday morning, Donald Trump appeared to suggest, again, thatĀ presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris isnā€™t really Black, ramping up his identity-based attacks to the horror of those in his party who consider racism a losing electoral strategy.

Earlier in the week, many GOP strategists, including in the Trump camp,Ā worriedĀ that attacks on Harrisā€™s race and genderā€”which seemed all but inevitable considering Trumpā€™s history of racism and misogynyā€”would pose a serious liability for the campaign. ā€œWe hope he doesnā€™t act like a crazy racist and sexist person, but we canā€™t control him,ā€ a source close to the campaignĀ toldĀ The Washington Post.

These hopes were quickly dashed in the course of Trumpā€™s interview with the National Association of Black Journalists Wednesday afternoon, in which the candidateĀ claimedĀ that, for years, Vice President Kamala Harris ā€œwas Indian all the way, and then suddenly she made a turn and she became a Black person.ā€

One of the Trump people I know said Kamala Harris changed ethnicities depending on what audience she is in front of.

I would push back on that next time you hear it withā€¦ well of course you would. If you have something in common with someone their interested in then why wouldnā€™t you talk about that aspect about yourself? Itā€™s just sharing a common ground, if an Indian host pointed out her Indian heritage then blurting out Iā€™m half black is justā€¦weird.

A good example for them: if youā€™re a NASCAR driver and youā€™re being interviewed on the track, you donā€™t start talking about your truck.

Yeah I donā€™t think itā€™s that big a deal. Especially if people already know sheā€™s half Indian and half black. I wasnā€™t gonna push my political opinions because I donā€™t want this person to think of me any different and not a dirty little commie liberal.

Definitely understandable and your choice if you want to put yourself out there like that to be judged. I tend to focus more on political leanings with family since itā€™s more my area of effectiveness. I will say though, that the more exposure to ā€œdirty little commie liberalā€ ideals they see, the more it might seem like not such a far-out there idea.
