The fate of our future is in the hands of two old dudes.

One wearing diaper and smells like shit. The other is a happy grandpa who is trying his best.

Imagine if this was a action movie and these were the protagonists.

      • Seriously, isn’t there like a dozen movies like this?

One of them is clearly the bad guy. Like, I don’t fucking care that the guy who can organize the monied liberal elites to get enough support to actually beat Trump is old.

Biden does like six events a day. Constantly on the phone with world leaders, cabinet leaders. Check the calendar. Check the readouts. Every time he goes somewhere he takes questions. Gaggles all the time.

The claims that he is infirm or unfocused are meritless. His brain has always been way faster than his mouth. Trump has always been the opposite, and his brain is even slower now, obviously.

So I’m right there with you lamenting that we ended up with these two as the only likely choices, but I don’t know if I would want “action movie protagonist” as the metric for what would make a “good” president.

The last like 10 years have been useless as far as debates go.

Just watch WWE if you want to see a fake wrestling match. These “debates” have been absolutely pathetic and show the world just how fucking stupid we are.

The Obama era debates were the last decent debates. He was able to give thoughtful nuanced answers, while still holding people’s attention and remaining concise. Not many people have that skill.

That said, those Biden - Palin debates have some similarities to the Trump - Biden debates. Once again, Biden is debating a loud, confident, fascist, moron. And once again, we’re hoping he doesn’t produce a gaffe that makes him the center of attention.

People talk about these debates as if they are a thing you can “win.” Once upon a time they might have been, but who in the nation didn’t know who they were voting for in this election 4 years ago?

The moderator asks a question, the candidate doesn’t answer it, his opponent slings mud, the audience claps, nothing is achieved.

    Its that old thought experiment:

You run into two presidents one cannot tell the truth and will mostly only respond to comments about himself while the other often mumbles incoherently but occasionally says “the idea, you’d lie about this”

You need to know how fuck to get out of here. There is no exit.

Well Anyways. Back from fantasy land, I have decided to vote for the old man that can actually answer what is asked. Unlike a petty 4 year old with a worse comb over (didn’t think that was possible) and STILL CANNOT ADMIT HE WAS CONVICTED OF A CRIME. He has no respect for the system he is applying to be in charge of and thinks no one can see through the bullshit.

Trump was doing most of the deceitful lying and yelling. Biden was very level headed, factual, and backed up his points.

Yeah based on these comments below me I can see why it’s 20 percent of people fed up with your racist shit.

The irony of this statement is shocking. You can’t reach people you can’t have empathy for. Keep alienating people that usually agree with you. It’ll be a winning tactic.

I didn’t say anything about Trump supporters. I’m talking about this “oh, you don’t like Biden so you’re a trump supporter” bullshit played on your own party members. Which is clear, by the way, if you read the words I wrote.

“One fifth of one fifth might succumb to Fox News”

It’s not to say they don’t matter, but it is fair to say your attempt at a point doesn’t fucking matter…

Another way to phrase this is to say “you just focused on the least valuable piece of information”…

Not sure if you meant otherwise… we were all curious until you uh, you know… opened your mouth.

And you wonder why 20 percent of that voting block supports Trump. They’re tired of being used and told they aren’t black.

It’s a democracy. people are allowed to vote for who ever they want. Fair and square. Personally my opinion on the matter is it’s like that south park episode. your neither getting a giant douche or a turd sandwich.

          • (edit) For an exanple Hilary Clinton was a giant douche who had a financial interest in making a no-fly zone in Syria. This would’ve probably lead to another forever war and would’ve costed the us taxpayer millions, Cause Syria irrepressible damage to their infrastructure, cause innocent civilian deaths, destroy civilian livelihoods, And put US troops in harms way.

Not so certain about that last point about troops being put in harm’s way. The war in Ukraine has shown just how effective drone strikes are, and nothing has been able to consistently shoot down our fighter and reconnaissance aircraft. The F-15 is 108-0. Not sure what the stats on the 22 and 35 are, but those probably go down due to pilot error more often than anything else.

My point is that I’m pretty certain that we would have been fielding these tactics before Russia popped off and invaded Ukraine, and may have been successful enough to dissuade Putin, though that seems extremely unlikely.

There is a reason a Russian/Soviet warship showed up during Operation Praying Mantis, to “take pictures for history.” They were also seeing just how good our shit was, since no one had seen us in battle for long enough at that point that we had totally upgraded to a new generation of equipment.

They aren’t voting Trump because they know what is at stake and have chosen Trump. They chose Trump because they’ve been lied to and tricked and now they are afraid.

The guy who might bring religious fascism to the USA vs the guy is who is currently actually supporting a genocidal religious fascism in Israel.
