      It’s a question of incentives in the end. Privatized military industrial complex wants to maximize profits. Making cheap weapons at scale means having large factories, hiring a lot of workers, and having low profit margins. Making toys like F35 in artisanal batches, and then charging for maintenance is where it’s really at.
